ahhhh - much better than this - a huge bouquet of all the lilac colours that exist in this village

saturday

• walk with Missy D (clippers in pocket)
• steal lilacs from various noted spots around the village (we call it selective petite pruning)
• trim lilacs at home on porch, smash woody stems with rolling pin √
• arrange in new bouquet dans Flo's gorgeous and much loved antique silver pitcher √
• display in chocolate brown bedroom - sigh & sniff at their beauty √
• take photos in low, less than ideal lighting conditions (have no fear - more photos to come)
• breakfast at TTD* of poached eggs on whole grain english muffin + orange √
• vote in important !!! village election √
• visit hardware store for annuals & hanging basket perusal √
• visit grocery store + farmers market √
• tidy office & TTD*
• begin new large (12 x 15) collage drawing of ... you guessed it - lilacs
• lounge avec tea, les lap cats & my current good read - Caribou Island
• dinner tonight pizza Margarita & a big salad √

* TTD - my gorgeous & huge teak topped desk

  2. They're beautiful. I have a lilac in my garden I only put in last year and it hasn't flowered much yet.
